Figures (2018)

red, gray, blue, and green unique lithograph prints on paper.

At the end of the live drawing session, the final drawings remain abstractions of the figure, the model is unidentifiable, but the drawing retains movement, the suggestion of a universal human figure dancing, touching, exploring, or exuding emotions, and often morphing into a tree, a rock, or another natural form. It is then that a mythology can begin where the human figure goes into metamorphosis and the drawing is no longer of a model, but can begin to speak of something else.
